Wonderful Family-owned B&B in a Trulli ☺ Staying in this family-owned trulli B&B was a highlight of our trip to Puglia. Isabella and her family are so welcoming, and you'll learn quite a bit about Puglia from them. Trulli are historic structures, but the accommodations here have been efficiently laid out and modernized. Our room was fairly small, but just fine for a couple (it also had a small kitchenette). Locorotondo is charming (less touristy than some nearby towns) and is about 2 km away (walkable, but we drove because we went after sunset). Matera, Ostuni Lecce and coastal towns like Polignano a Mare are all within about 0.5 - 1.5 hour's drive, making this a great base for exploring Puglia. Isabella's breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. She makes all the breakfast pastries, cakes and other offerings from scratch each day! Sitting on the terrace or in the garden to enjoy breakfast or an evening aperitivo was the perfect way to start and end our busy 4 days in Puglia. Highly recommend this welcoming, family-owned B&B. ☹ Locorotondo is quite a small town. Since we were out and about all day, we didn't really plan dinner in advance and learned that you definitely need reservations during peak season. Isabella can guide you.
